When it works the best Pirate game

And when it doesn't it can be infuriating. On windows 10 I couldn't get boarding/city fights to work, on windows 11 those work fine, but there is still some occasional jank, but not a ton. There is a wide variety of ships on the ocean, hell, some even fly or go submarine(sadly no you cannot steal these from their races/factions. Also a wide variety of personal/crew weapons. There is a good variety of ship customization, personal clothing. As far as gameplay, each city contains the same interactable buildings but not the same layout. Clothing merchant, weapon merchant, goods merchant, tavern(crew hiring, captain hiring, news), watch tower(faction quests, faction crew, pennant rewards), shipwright(upgrades, ship/fleet management), and notice board(other quests). You can search shiprwrecks, hidden treasure, and hunt sea monsters. I've been looking for a truly great pirate game and this one is only quite good (a shame, the devs were very responsive to issues on steam, but the studio ran out of time/funding), if you think you know something not universally known that is the best one(don't bother telling me about Assassin's Creed, Port Royale, Windrose, Sid Meir's Pirates, Rebel Galaxy) let me know

IT'S A DRM FREE DEAD GAME YOU IDIOTS

All these 1 star reviews whinging that "THERE IS NO ONLINE MULTIPLAYER" are less than useful. The game description itself says: "Please note: This DRM-Free version of Worms Revolution Gold Edition features local multiplayer only." It may seem like mere common sense to look at what something is before you spend money on it, or put it inside your computer, but I'm an odd person. I know I wouldn't pick up random items off the sidewalk and put them in my mouth either, but I am less sure about the people complaining about a clearly marked product not doing what it tells them it doesn't do.

Needs Patch To Run On Modern Windows

Good Old Game is a great description of Worms 2. The patch that is linked to in the game description does make the game run and work fine for me. Sadly, this game as bought from GOG will not work on it's own for any Windows after Vista(according to forum reports). Good game, annoying to get it working, and there is a discord for finding players.

I only want Space Empires 5-best 4x game

Space Empires V is a 5-star game. It is still my most played space 4x game. I bought the disc for $10 too many years ago, and this bundle isn't a good deal. Why would I want more primitive games in the series when I can play the best one? Unlike most games of this type, you can actually control ships/units in tactical combat. In SE5 the customization of ships/units is unparalleled in any other game I have played. Fallen Enchantress is a different type of 4x game with totally customizable units, but all the levels of components and interactions of different technology in SE5 make unique situations and matchups that put this game on another level. Galactic Civilizations does have ship customization, but nowhere even close to this level, with a far more primitive tech tree and nothing like the facilities. There are DOZENS of types of weapons just in the weapon class that can target ships(as opposed to point-defense and small weapons that can target missiles/fighters/drones, or weapons for planetary bombardment) and then there are the technologies that modify weapon performance such as massive weapon mounts or combat targeting sensors for your direct fire weapons(beams, blasters, unguided projectiles). Facilities on planets have levels depending on how far you develop the underlying technology. I could go on and on, because it's such a cool game, but frankly I'm called cheap and I don't like the bundle/price point. You can buy them separately on steam....

overpriced paywalled content

$12 for the Halflings and 3 Scenarios -Just one of the MORE THAN HALF of the races that are now removed . It's absurd for the majority of playable races to be removed from the series, and insulting to have them offered as DLC I would give negative stars for this sort of greedy behavior producing inferior overpriced products if I could

Haven't Seen Better

The sale price is an incredible deal-get it. The physics are a lot of fun-moving in three dimensions with inertia! The varied weapon types are more than just skins unlike so many games these days, and there are more meta abilities gained from the ancients. It is a very linear game in some ways but open world in others. For instance choosing the next area to go to will not have many options, but once you are in an area you can go anywhere in it and do whatever you want. It is a roguelite type of game, you will die, buy upgrades and start another run. The couple graphical issues I have had seem to come from my ancient GPU, I don't recall any bugs, haven't had crashes. Someone who hadn't played the game complained about not enough player ship types...but each ship is completely different and they have hundreds of upgrades. It's taken me many many hours to fully upgrade a single ship. Space is beautiful.
