Stutter Hill
The stuttering in the game takes away from the gameplay. Throughout the intro I just kept lowering the display settings. Once the intro was over and the brief cinematic cutscene played I realized not only were my settings on low but so were my expectations.
During the intro, I'm playing this survival horror game where "every bullet counts"...progressing along. Eventually I get a tip in the UI telling me that "shooting enemies in the legs will knock them over giving you an opportunity to reposition". Ok, cool! Said encounter happens. I take aim for the kneecap...BAM. My charged bullet, 1 of 12, is now lodged in the aluminium frame 3ft to the right of the enemy because the game stuttered. The Pause screen then appears because I got ****** up.
There is a game here and I'm going to hold onto it in the hopes that future patches will allow better immersion but in its current state I can't recommend this game. I do have high hopes for the future of this game, the IP, and future games from Bloober. But I need to play something else right now.

45 hour update:
This game is pandemic catharsis. There are plenty of tense sweaty palm moments to get the juices flowing. Jump scares are present in the game. "Ohhhhh..Uhhhh and What The **** is that. mmmmmmmmm is in this game. But SUCH IS OUR CALLING. The game is the shizzle. If you listen to Wu Tang Clan in general, Method Man's Tical 2000 in particular and you know a little too much about what's going on in the world then buy it and play it.
Bloober has released performance patches that now has the game running smoothly on my machine. Mind you I set graphics to very low at the start of my play through and forgot about it.
